Mike Gleason

A leader in the Southern California business community for more than 20 years, Mike has a proven track record of financial expertise spanning a variety of industries and operations from software, internet and SAAS services to outsourcing, manufacturing, construction and transportation. He has worked extensively managing payrolls for companies with as few as two employees and as many as thousands spread over multiple states and legal entities.

As CFO consultant, he works closely with venture-backed technology startups as well as emerging and medium-sized businesses. In this role, he assists clients in raising capital, cash-flow management, mergers and acquisitions, international operations and information technology. With Mike’s assistance, one client recently raised $6 million in financing while another reached a significant revenue milestone after Mike refined the company’s internal bid process.

Mike’s professional background includes leadership roles in a number of large, multinational corporations and startup technology firms. As CFO of Adexa, a supply-chain management software company, he assisted in raising preferred equity of more than $40 million and optimized legal, tax and internal control structures for the company’s global operations. He also served as corporate controller at Netgateway, where he helped to raise $23 million in a successful initial public offering.

Mike holds a baccalaureate in business administration with an emphasis on accounting from the University of Notre Dame. A certified public accountant, he serves on the board of the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation.

Wilson Tang’s expertise is payroll and timekeeping conversions. His chief goal is to help clients achieve cost savings and rapid growth through the development of financial controls, accounting infrastructure and enhanced employee scheduling systems. Wilson recently helped two separate clients develop the accounting processes and infrastructure to scale with significant revenue growth. He helped a third client upgrade to new, cost-saving timekeeping and scheduling systems that utilize biometrics, affording increased control over employee attendance.

Before co-founding NextPoint Payroll, Wilson was a public accounting auditor for a Big 4 CPA firm. He has also held leadership positions in multinational corporations in the areas of accounting and internal audit functions. In 2004, he managed the internal audit process for Nestle USA.

Wilson holds a BS in business administration with an emphasis on accounting from California State University, Los Angeles.
